Teacher salaries around the world

Here’s a chart of Education at a Glance, 2013 showing teacher salaries compared to other college-educated workers. While the numbers going into the chart aren’t perfect–they’re taken from base salaries for lower secondary teachers with 11 years of experience and a BA only, so the underlying sample isn’t completely representative–the picture is nonetheless clear. Other countries offer teachers much more competitive salaries.
